elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The basic principles underlying P.S.H. were developed in the 1980s by two Australian therapists, unknown to each other and working completely independently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">When&nbsp;<b>Francis (Frank) J. Wright<\/b><sup>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/sup>and&nbsp;<b>Gregory L. Brice<\/b><sup>2<\/sup><sup>.<\/sup> first met, both had been in practice for many years, using traditional therapy methods. They shared the belief that although some clients did achieve success, the percentage rate was simply not high enough to justify the continued use of the old methods. Each was therefore searching for better ways to produce genuine and lasting results for more people, and to do so with greater ease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">As their clinical methods evolved, Wright and Brice gradually found the percentage of clients reaching quick and&nbsp;lasting&nbsp;change&nbsp;<i>increasing,<\/i>&nbsp;whilst in most cases, the length of time and number of clinical sessions required,&nbsp;<i>decreased.&nbsp;<\/i>Over time in the clinic, they arrived at the realization that their pathways had merged.&nbsp; Greg recalls, \u201cI well remember the day when Frank articulated the two central conclusions I also had reached \u2013 <i>that the client must do the healing themselves, and the process needs to be kept completely private.\u201d<\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">By now, the work was so fundamentally different from anything that had gone before, that Wright and Brice recognized they were dealing with a new model of therapy, which in 1994 they named Private Subconscious-mind Healing. By 1994, the method had evolved so far beyond the traditional techniques that it was renamed Private Subconscious-mind Healing (P.S.H.).<\/p><p>Since that time P.S.H. has been practised in Australia\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var( --e-global-color-40ddd28 );\">by a growing number of therapists\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var( --e-global-color-40ddd28 );\">for whom ASTA plays a central and unifying role.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>We are a non-profit, formally structured organisation with an elected Executive Board consisting of President, Secretary, Treasurer, State Representatives, Research Officer, Membership Officer, Publications Officer, Workshop Officer, Ethics
