Client Evaluation Program

CLIENT FEEDBACK PROGRAM (CFP)

Many therapies (and therapists) claim success rates that cannot be substantiated. ASTA runs a post-therapy evaluation program to monitor the therapeutic results of P.S.H. therapy to gain a more accurate evaluation of the effectiveness and to identify possible areas of improvement. Any such areas identified are then used to assist the therapists and the therapeutic process itself as may be indicated. In this way, the P.S.H. model is 'alive' and always at the leading edge of effectiveness and professionalism.

How is the CFP conducted?

Clients who agree to participate in the CFP are mailed a confidential questionnaire approximately four months and twelve months after their final session of P.S.H. Simple yes/no responses are asked for, with the invitation for further comments if so desired. Many people take the opportunity to provide observations (both positive and negative) which add valuable information to our research database. The survey takes approximately ten minutes for clients to complete, depending on how detailed their response is. The form is then returned in the reply envelope provided and clients remain completely anonymous unless they chose to add their name to the report. Even then however, their name is NEVER entered into the computer database.

Please note: Therapists receive only statistical information and comments which do not identify the client. Clients are NEVER identified to the therapists or to the training school.

What does the CFP research show?

Statistical in-house summaries are compiled from the questionnaires returned by clients The analysis of these results is distributed to ASTA members each quarter so that therapists can compare their individual figures with the group data. Members also receive an anonymous summary of comments written by clients. The data is also provided to approved P.S.H. training centres and used to fine tune the training. It is also of tremendous value during the therapists' compulsory, "Professional Development Program".

The reports provide a valuable understanding of the dynamics of therapeutic outcomes, particularly from the client's perspective.
